The jewelry brass is gold jewelry that can blacken if you do not wear them, as it happens for silver jewelry
With time it dull and bronzed take a darker color. Some of you will appreciate this more “antique” shade, but others will prefer the initial shine.
Here is how to restore all their shine to your brass necklaces or bracelets, but also your brass rings and brass earrings
Make your brass jewelry shine with soapy water
The most common trick is to wash your brass jewelry in soapy water. Take a soft-bristled toothbrush for this, gently rub the jewel, and then rinse with clean water. Remember to wipe it off with a soft cloth afterward.

Shine brass with toothpaste
Here too, use a toothbrush or a small, fine, and flexible brush. Put a little toothpaste with water and rub the jewel until it regains its shine. Then rinse and dry.
You can also use flour, salt, or baking soda instead of toothpaste.

Give a coca “bath” to your brass jewelry
In a glass filled with cola, soak the brass ring or chain for a few minutes. Then rinse and dry well. Your jewel will come out shiny, like new!
You can also use white vinegar instead of cola.
Use a damp cloth for brass jewelry
For a few euros (between 5 to 8 €), you can buy in the drugstore a specific cloth for the maintenance of brass. Soaked in a product, it will suffice to rub your jewel with it. Very practical and efficient, to take with you in all circumstances. It can even make silver jewelry shine.
Where to store my brass jewelry?
Both brass and silver jewelry can get scratched if they come in contact with each other. We, therefore, advise you to store them in small fabric pockets, separately.
Also, keep them away from sunlight and light.
